H. ‘June’ is one of the most popular hosta varieties. When immature, leaf centres are gold, changing (see photo) as the plant matures. In sun, leaf centres are lighter (see the outer and older leaves in the photo). In shade, colours are much more subtle, the leaf centres turning chartreuse from early season onwards.
